Quran Centre Word Work: Surah Al-Asr

Alhamdulillaah, here is the workbook for surah al-Asr.
 

In this workbook, students will be introduced to two new icons:

On page 2 of the workbook, children are asked to indicate where the letters appear in the word. For example, is the alif the first or third letter in the word; is the lam the fifth or third letter in the word, etc. Students write the numbers 1-5 over each letter to indicate where in the word the letter appears. 

On page 6 of the workbook, students have fluency strips. These strips are to be cut out and students practice saying this part of the ayat until they read it fluently in shaa' Allaah. The red dot tells the student where to begin, and the blue arrow reminds the child to read through the phrase on the strip from right to left. 

All other icons and activities should be familiar to students. Additionally, the remaining activities in the book are self-explanatory in shaa' Allaah, but if not, please do not hesitate to leave a comment and ask for clarification.

Quran Centre Word Work: Surat Al-Humazah

In this workbook, students will be introduced to several new icons:

On the page where students recite to someone else, there is a chart for each student to write the name of the person they recited to, and there is space for that person to "sign" his or her name indicating that they listened to the student recite the surah. 

All other icons and activities should be familiar to students. Additionally, the remaining activities in the book are self-explanatory in shaa' Allaah, but if not, please do not hesitate to leave a comment and ask for clarification.

Quran Centre Word Work: Suratal Fil

Alhamdulillaah, here is the workbook for suratal fil. 

The format of this workbook is almost identical to the workbooks for surah Quraysh and surah al-Ikhlas; there are only two variations in this workbook. 

There are two pages that have interactive elements, indicated by the picture of the glue. Students will cut out the interactive elements, located on the last page of the workbook, glue them on the picture of the glue and under the flap, they will write the word found in the circle on the page. Be sure to tell students that they will not cut on the dotted line, they will fold the element along the dotted line.

The other variation is that students will not cut and paste the ayaat of the surah to put the ayaat in the correct order. In this workbook, students will cut out the ayaat and then they have the option to time themselves to see how quickly they can put the ayaat in order accurately. This page has a chart with a picture of a calendar and a timer for students to record their results. Having students time themselves is, of course, optional. This page is to help students see how proficiently they have memorized the surah and it helps them see if they need to continue working on their memorization.
